The Youth Choir of Union United Church ministers under the directorship of Kim Sherwood. The choir consists of almost 30 boys and girls whose ages range from 5 to 18 years. Most of the youth belong to the Sunday School of Union United Church. Others may attend their own churches but have joined Union’s Youth Choir to sing songs of praise and worship with their contemporaries. Kim offers the youth the unique opportunity to learn and grow through the study of choral music. Choristers experience the joys of singing, teamwork, musical understanding, and artistic expression.
The Youth Choir shares its musical gift during the worship service every second Sunday of the month. The choir recesses in the months of July and August. They also accept invitations to minister within communities, local and abroad.
Youth Choir rehearsals are on Saturdays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
